Eve of Departure

I leave tomorrow! Wow!

I am not sure how I feel. Mostly, and this may be hard to believe, I'm sad. Sad to leave behind my family, my friends, my boyfriend. But I'm also thankful for the chance to go to such a beautiful country! In that respect, I'm excited.

I'm sure that the travel bug will bite me harder when my feet hit Kiwi soil, but for now, I'm enjoying my last day at home.

The Beginnings of a New Adventure

Hello All!

I cannot believe that I am opening this up again, this time for a new adventure!
Perhaps I need to change my title to "There and Back Again: An Intern's Tale".

In less than two weeks (aaaah!) I will be leaving on a jet plane for Wellington, New Zealand (aaah!) to work as an intern for Rural Women New Zealand -- http://www.ruralwomen.org/

I think this post is more for myself than anything, because I'm not sure if anybody is checking this page yet or not. I'm starting to dream (perhaps scheme is the better word) up weekend trips to take! Unlike when I was in Europe, I know that I realistically get out and see a whole bunch of different nations...but I do want to take in as much of New Zealand as I possibly can!

I've been so blessed, once again, in regards to finances for this trip! My family has been a huge help, an answer to my prayers really, and so if any of you read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make these once-in-a-lifetime trips possible!
